Anonymous asked: Alright. I went to a bar Wednesday, met this guy. We talked just few a few. I couldn't hear him half the time because it was so loud. But we had a little chat. He gave me his number and said "I don't have my phone on me right now, but text me in a little bit so I have your number". He seemed kinda interested and really friendly. So, I sent him a text two hours later asking if this was him. I never got a response. The name he gave me sounded kinda fake, so I looked it up on Myspace and found his profile (SERIOUSLY, it sounded as fake as "John Smith". In fact, he has the same name as a celebrity. Which is why I thought he was just being a jerk).

But turns out that was his real name. I sent him another text last night saying who I was and asked again if it was his phone, and didn't get a response. Should I try one more time? Would I seem like a creeper if I added him on Myspace? I mean, could it be possible his phone is off and I just didn't completely hear him?

I'm terrible at this whole thing. Seriously. I just don't want to do something that will make me look like a stalker.

Dear Anonymous,

Yes, you are definitely terrible at this whole thing because it’s glaringly obvious that this guy did not want you to contact him, but he didn’t have enough balls to tell you so.    Thats why he made up the lie about not having his phone on him and asked you to find him on Myspace.  No one uses Myspace, and no one leaves their phone at home.  This guy sent you on a wild goose chase to basically never find him, which was a very jerk move.  He was obviously not mature enough to just be honest with you and tell you he wasn’t interested.

Move on.
